Abstract
By calling human beings to monotheistic beliefs, values and norms, Islam seeks to form a single world society and culture; A culture based on a common human nature. From the perspective of Islam, the real life and development of man depends on his intellectual and cultural life. Hence, on the one hand, in order to preserve cultural life and identity, it emphasizes the denial of indifference to non-monotheistic values, and on the other hand, by denying racial nerves, social attraction and repulsion, and Culture guides Muslims in the natural and divine direction. The present study intends to study the role of religion in the culture of society in a descriptive-analytical method and using library resources and to explain the strategies for preserving culture from the perspective of religious teachings. The results of this study indicate that culture is always faced with a multitude of changing conditions in the process of its life and in heterogeneous conditions, new needs are met. Therefore, in order for religion to be able to maintain its permanent presence in the changing conditions of human life through effective social and cultural theories, basic mechanisms such as following divine laws, forming a good government and leadership, and justice. Expansion, establishment of unity in society, jihad, self-confidence and self-sufficiency in all fields, have embedded cultural resistance. Semantics of words of culture, religion, civilization, protection and Islamic culture; Etymology of culture; The relationship between religion and culture is one of the topics that the present study has dealt with.
