Abstract

The media is one of the most important phenomena that produce social effects and are an integral part of people's daily lives and play an essential role in shaping our lifestyle and culture and it is impossible to ignore the role of the media in social studies. The media leads to specific cultural, social, and political formulations, regardless of what content they convey. In other words, the way a culture is transmitted affects the content of that culture. A communication medium has an important effect on the dissemination of knowledge in space and time, and the study of its characteristics is necessary to evaluate its impact on the cultural environment. Phenomena such as the Internet, like other media, have both opportunities and threats,. Different thinkers have each looked at the issue from their own perspectives and presented their own analysis. This article tries to provide a brief report on the negative and destructive effects of Internet media, from two perspectives and in two analytical frameworks. One from the perspective of neurological influences, and the other from a philosophical or phenomenological point of view, based on the theories of Jean Baudrillard.
